01Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to the use of all florid.io websites, hosted software, multi-tenant platforms, APIs, AI agents, automation pipelines, and communication channels that incorporate this Policy.
A customer agreement, statement of work, or product-specific contract may impose additional operational rules.
02General rule
You may use florid.io services only for lawful, authorised, and legitimate commercial or professional purposes. You are solely responsible for all activity conducted through your accounts, API keys, credentials, and custom integrations.
03Unlawful or harmful activity
You must not use florid.io services to:
- Violate the laws of Kenya (including the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, 2018) or any other applicable jurisdiction;
- Facilitate financial fraud, deceptive schemes, or money laundering;
- Unlawfully infringe on third-party intellectual property or trade secrets;
- Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or malicious payloads;
- Promote unlawful discrimination, harassment, defamation, or hate speech; or
- Engage in unauthorized digital surveillance or illegal interception of communications.
04Security abuse
Unless explicitly authorised in writing under an agreed penetration-testing scope, you must not:
- Scan, fuzz, or probe florid.io infrastructure for vulnerabilities;
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication barriers, or authorization checks;
- Exploit discovered vulnerabilities or conduct denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks;
- Attempt cross-tenant privilege escalation or access another client's isolated tenant; or
- Circumvent or tamper with logging, telemetry, or security monitoring mechanisms.
05Data and privacy abuse
You must not use florid.io services to:
- Harvest or process personal data in violation of the Data Protection Act, 2019;
- Upload or connect personal or sensitive data without having a verified legal basis;
- Attempt to bypass user access restrictions or tenant isolation boundaries; or
- Deploy automated profiling or scoring systems that cause unlawful discrimination.
06Messaging, scraping and automation
You must not use our infrastructure to:
- Send unsolicited bulk communications (spam) or bypass email reputation standards;
- Circumvent unsubscribe or opt-out mechanisms;
- Scrape websites or APIs in violation of terms of service, robots.txt, or technical rate restrictions; or
- Impersonate another person, entity, or florid.io representative deceptively.
07AI-specific misuse
When using florid.io AI agents, copilots, or automated decision tools, you must comply with our AI & Automation Terms. You must not:
- Use AI features to generate deceptive deepfakes or impersonations for fraudulent gain;
- Attempt prompt injection or jailbreaking to bypass safety boundaries;
- Deploy AI to make unreviewed, automated determinations affecting individual civil rights, criminal justice, or essential public services; or
- Present unverified AI outputs as verified expert fact in high-stakes legal, medical, or safety domains.
08Resource & quota abuse
You must not intentionally abuse or degrade system resources, circumvent billing quotas, manipulate usage metering, or generate unreasonable traffic loads designed to disrupt service availability for other platform tenants.
09Enforcement & remedies
If we reasonably believe this Policy has been violated, we may take immediate, proportionate action:
- Issue warnings or require remedial configuration changes;
- Temporarily restrict access or rate-limit offending accounts;
- Suspend or terminate services in the event of severe or repeated breaches; and
- Preserve evidence and report unlawful activities to relevant Kenyan or international law enforcement.
